Anyway, Inter has good combination of experienced players and young-talented players. so, Milan should focus, focus and focus until the end of the match. in some matches our opponents scored in injury time. could not make the same mistake again and again.

AC Milan boss Allegri happy selection gamble paying off Nov 15, 2010 / By tribalfootball.com
Allegri has dropped Ronaldinho for the last three games running and have been successful with Clarence Seedorf in the trequartista role. “Even if your name is Milan and you have star players, you need to be efficient and work hard in order to win,” said Allegri. “We had some good results with that earlier line-up, but admittedly we did suffer a bit more with so many attacking players. The balance is within the squad now and everyone feels important.”

(…) Allegri feels he has struck the right balance with Milan, but won’t rule out further changes. “It was a very intense performance and we got off to a great start, putting Inter under pressure,” he said of the 1-0 win that maintained their leadership. “We kept that up while we had XI men on the field, then defended well and it was a deserved victory. “There was a moment when we looked ready to score the second, but then we started slowing the tempo and fatigue had set in. I liked the attitude and good football, above all the team was solid. It’s an important victory, especially as a derby win can only help improve self-esteem.”

Ignazio Abate received the first of Milan’s five yellow cards in the 11th minute for a push on Samuel Eto’o when he got none of the ball. He would receive Milan’s third card as well, one that will raise some question marks about the performance of referee Paolo Tagliavento. (…) The controversy escalated when Pandev blatantly shoved Abate to the ground with both hands intentionally. Abate got up and only needed to raise his arms in a threatening motion and nothing more for Tagliavento to pull him aside and show him his second yellow, resulting in a red and forcing the Rossoneri to 10 men with a half hour to play. Pandev escaped with merely a yellow. (…)

Its just the fact that whenever Ronnie is in the line up everyone in the team tries to get the ball to him and expect him to magically pull a crazy pass out of his ass so the striker has no problem scoring, and all the teams know that and they mark him with atleast 2 to 3 men every match. What Allegri is doing is trying to keep Ronnie out of the line up so the team can learn to play without him, where everyone including Flamini, Ambrosini, and full backs come forward to attack. Basically trying to get in more options. And once the team is comfortably creating chancing, the extra boost will be Ronnie. Allegri is just breaking the Milan dependence on Ronnie.

A.C. Milan: Max Allegri Starts to Prove His Worth As Milan Sit Atop Of Serie A Nov 10, 2010 / BleacherReport, Frank Tigani (= AC-Milan-Blog = PirloFan = MilanFan since Berlusconi’s1993)
(…) Credit must go to Max Allegri who is starting to show his worth. (…) Even with the arrivals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho, Milan is a team that has significant gaps in both midfield and defence. Yet, at least in midfield, things seem much improved. This is mainly due to the re-emergence of former world beater, Gennaro Gattuso. The fiery Calabrian has enjoyed a renaissance this season and here Allegri is due praise. Gattuso’s return to form has not only been great for the side for what he does on the pitch, but also for what he brings to the pitch in terms of determination and attitude. But against Palermo, Gattuso did not even play. Yet, the likes of Flamini, Ambrosini and Boateng managed to put in a collectively solid display to help Milan to an important victory. Though not outstanding, Flamini continued to build upon his man-of-the-match display against Bari has he proved effective both defensively and offensively. Alongside him, newcomer Boateng also had a good night, indicating that he too is improving much like many of his colleagues. (…) It is not only in midfield that Milan have displayed significant improvement but also in the defence. … More importantly, Thiago Silva actually had his first good game played in the absence of Alessandro Nesta as Yepes proved to be a suitable partner for him. It is at full back that Milan are the weakest, still. (…) Allegri has done fine work with his midfield and defensive chargers. With midfield looking much more competitive and with fewer concerns at the back, it really is in attack that Allegri needs to still find the right combination. The deployment of Clarence Seedorf as trequartista has been effective if not spectacular decision. (…)

Despite Injuries, Milan Beat Palermo, Go Top In Serie A Nov 10, 2010 / BleacherReport, Tim Fontenault (US-CollegeFreshman)
(…) As is the case all too often, however, Milan seemed to fall back once they scored. … Another common trait of Milan this year is giving up goals that should never have been scored to players who are not paid to score. (…) Milan seemed set to answer right back. Pato went flying up the pitch on the resulting kickoff, getting all the way into the box before being taken down for what should have been a penalty, but Banti waved play on. It was immediately clear that the 21-year-old Brazilian would be unable to continue. He was taken off in place of Filippo Inzaghi, placing his status for the Derby della Madonna in jeopardy. It was only 10 minutes before the 37-year-old European scoring champion Inzaghi picked up a knock of his own at the same time that Palermo goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu earned himself a yellow card and gave Milan a penalty for his tackle of captain Massimo Ambrosini. Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped up and converted the spot kick in the 77th minute, redeeming himself of the missed penalty in his debut during the loss to Cesena. Inzaghi left the contest in the 80th minute and was replaced by Robinho. It took the Brazilian only three minutes to score with Ibrahimovic getting the assist and putting three points beyond any doubt.

And the result is really good, cause the midfield looks really solid and dynamic. Pastore and Miccoli even can’t move a lot like last season!. Too bad Pato and Pippo had an injured. Hope one of them recover for derby. Btw, Abate looks more mature and comfortable in his right back position.

Despite Injuries, Milan Beat Palermo, Go Top In Serie A Nov 10, 2010 / BleacherReport, Tim Fontenault (US-CollegeFreshman)
(…) It is at full back that Milan are the weakest, still. The lack of offensive contribution from full backs Antonini and Abate is a problem. But on the positive side, Abate for the first time is showing signs of actually having developed into a full back. His positioning and defending has improved though he is still far off from the finished article.

One said it was cause of Binho’s pass Ibra could then assist Dinho for the goal and it might be true but the pass was nothing special it was Ibra’s run that broke the defence and then he brilliantly passed it to an open Binho. Binho got handed that goal on a silver platter and then failed to do the same back to Ibra. Binho’s got potential though. / 15 : 0

(…) With midfield looking much more competitive and with fewer concerns at the back, it really is in attack that Allegri needs to still find the right combination. … Ibrahimovic seems destined to play one of the two striker roles with Pato the obvious first choice to play alongside. However, it is not the question of who plays where in attack. Rather it is the lack of chemistry that exists amongst the attackers. Pato still needs to learn to play with those around him because going for goal is not always an option. Ibrahimovic needs to do the same for he is at times a real bane to Milan’s attacking play. Sure he scores goals and creates them too, for a striker maybe this is all we can ask for. Yet it does not hide the fact that Ibrahimovic for the most part contributes nothing to the general play as was so frustratingly obvious against Palermo. Ibra’s passing was awful and he even failed to control the ball at times. He is a most capricious talent. One minute he is utterly useless, the next minute he is amazing.

You can’t do this against top teams. Milan have the quality to be such a great team if they’d just fix their main problems. / 2 : 0

We also can’t afford to have any lapses in concentration like for the first goal and have to be more physical, at times we seem withdrawn and scared. (…)

(JIWON: I don’t know why only Korean fans were quick to point out Bulldog’s New Position and had a fun when he enthusiastically celebrated Ambro’s goal. Is it because of his Korean nickname, GatZuKso, which literally means a bulldog? I think this is one reason why hot-blooded Gattuso picked up a cheap yellow card at the end of this game. Now that he will enjoy couple of free days, why doesn’t Calabrian Bulldog check his NUDE? It doesn’t matter if this daily check-up should take place in front of mirror or with Monica or with VIPs-or-FISH at “Gattuso & Bianchi”. 🙂

I find that whenever he loses a hint of his attractive NUDE, people start to call Gattuso’s performance “ITALIANATE DIRTY/UGLY”, while Calabrian Bulldog’s perfect performance itself knocks out everybody, even his haters… aka CR7. On the pitch, he can’t not be a Calabrian Bulldog if he doesn’t follow his instinct. This is why people praise that Gattuso play with his heart and advise “Pato The Duckling” to learn from his mentor. Cheers!)

Ibra and Robinho should not miss those chances, two superstars who fumbles with the ball today, Ibra should be more selfish in some situations, after all Milan played very well, Gattuso Flamini Ambro fought out there, and Seedorf is a mystery to me, one game he is superb to be a disaster in the next.. Comment-thebestmilan USA / 4:25 PM Nov 7, 2010: great job from our midfielders. i have said it before that with 4 midfielders we will be much better, it adds balance to our whole team. i give robinho 0 for chances that he missed but a 7 for moving around and chasing the ball, ronaldinjo doesn’t do that. Ibra wasn’t any better, except that assist to flamini, he missed a lot. please never play seedorf again, he lost 99% of passes except that cross that ambro scored. / 9 : 1
Comment-Me Here / 4:13 PM Nov 7, 2010: Ambro was Milan’s best imo, wit Flamini 2nd. Ibra was decent, but was missing the final touch – be it the shot, or assist (screwed up a certain goal for Pato, tho did set up Flamini). Seedorf apart from his 2 ‘assists’ did nothing during his 70-80min stay on the pitch (lost the ball an awful lot). Had Robinho taken all his chances he’d prob be leading goalscorer in serie a lol (stuffed up that many), and Zambrotta was woeful, fell over way too many times whilst tracking back. / 0 : 0

Comment-fix ur brain duds says: Abbiati made several incredible saves in some of the previous matches. (…) Nesta and Yepes are to blame there, the Bari strikers should have never been given those easy chances.
Comment-tremendousice says: @fix ur brain dude. you seem to forget this is not the first time Abbiati has failed to save some easy shots. Comment-Chandler says: The only knock on Pato is the fact that he doesn’t track back to help the team defend, there’s no doubt to his talents going forward. In the match against Juve, if Mourinho was Milan’s coach, he would have kicked Pato’s ass for not coming back to defend. The same goes for other Brazilians. As for Robinho even though he totally screwed up what should have been an easy goal, he was helping the team and he was very mobile. I really hope to see better efforts from both Pato and Robinho.

Face it, robinho is lazy and relies solely on his “skill” instead of hard work. For example for one of the FOUR clear cut chances he missed, instead of trying to round the goalkeeper with all the space he had, he goes for a stupid chip that had no chance of going in. Milan cant afford to waste all these chances against better teams especially when they’re prone to conceding. / 18 : 4
Comment-acmcear milano / 5:36 PM Nov 7, 2010: Agree with Amir who already pointed how Robinho has been average at best trough the season… hopefully he will improve. Pato, no matter what some ppl say should be the one who is always in the line up… above ronaldinho, robinho and even ibrahimovic (altough in my opinion robinho should always be benched until further improvement).
